Aitzaz Assures Full Support to The Government on National Security

LAHORE: Former President Supreme Court Bar Association Aitzaz Ahsan has assured the government for lawyers’ full support on national security in the wake of alleged Indian threats of war.

While addressing a press conference here at Lahore Press Club on Monday, Aitzaz said that the lawyers across the country will not hesitate to support the nation and the security forces.

He added that the defence of the country is the responsibility of the nation including the lawyers community because the national security and solidarity is significant than our own differences and to counter the Indian invasion, unity is need of the our, he observed.

Aitzaz told that he was invited by the Prime Minister to attend the National Security Conference but he refused to participate without President SCBA Ali Ahmad Kurd, however he said that the lawyers will unconditionally support the Pakistani forces to counter the situation.

He also suggested the government to take every possible step to avoid the war. He also urged the Pakistanis to bring their foreign currency reserves back to Pakistan.

Aitzaz said that the civil defence training is also need of the hour. SCBA former President demanded of the government to restore all the deposed judges including Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary immediately to create goodwill and solidarity among the people.

He also condemned the riots in Karachi and demanded the government to take appropriate measures to control law and order situation.

Shoukat Umer Peerzada Secretary Supreme Court Bar Association and Anwar Kamal President Lahore High Court Bar Association also were present on the occasion.
