Cabinet Defence Committee Meeting in Progress

ISLAMABAD: The maiden meeting of federal cabinet’s Defence Committee is presently underway here at PM House with Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in chair.

The meeting is reviewing the present national security situation especially in view of recent Mumbai terrorist attack that fueled Pak-India tension. The meeting will also discuss the defense strategies to tackle possible challenges at eastern and western frontiers of the country.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, chiefs of three armed-forces, federal ministers for defense, foreign affairs and other high officials are attending the meeting,
