Mullen Arrives In Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The top US military officer arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday in the wake of US efforts to ease tension between India and Pakistan over last week's Mumbai attacks.

Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, has arrived in the South Asia region around the same time as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who reached India today.

Mullen is expected to meet Pakistan civilian and military leadership during his Islamabad visit.
