2 Mujahideen including commander killed in encounter in J&K

Srinagar: Two suspected militants of Harkat-ul Mujahideen, including its self styled divisional commander, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir today, a senior police official said.

Security forces shot dead two militants in Dardpora village of Lolab area of the district and recovered two assault rifles, a few magazines and other ammunition, SP Kupwara Uttam Chand said.

The divisional commander has been identified as Najeebullah, a resident of Pakistan, they said, adding efforts were on to identify the other militant.
