LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (N) Leader Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that present government is a continuation of the Musharraf regime adding that the rulers have not respected the mandate given by the nation in February 18 election.

The PML-N leader was addressing a press conference at his residence at Jati Umra, Raiwind, after meeting with visiting US Senator John McCain.

Nawaz said for the independence and supremacy of the parliament and judiciary he passed years in exile and several people in Karachi sacrificed their lives.

He said the issue of the increasing marks of the daughter of chief justice is a national issue and called for action against the Federal Education Board and other people involved in it.

Nawaz said if this issue was neglected it will become a tradition. Replying a question about the Supreme Court orders not to discuss the issue of the marks sheet of Farah Hameed Doggar, Nawaz said that it is not the matter of the Supreme Court but a personal misconduct.

He said the Supreme Court orders to NA standing committee not to discuss the issue is against supremacy of the parliament and called Speaker Fehmida Mirza to overrule it.

He urged the government to resolve all internal disputes to better tackle external challenges.
