Pak Not involved in Mumbai Attacks; NSC Dissolved: Gilani

LAHORE: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Friday said that Pakistan was not involved in Mumbai attacks and rejected Indian allegations in this regard.

Prime Minister revealed that National Security Council (NSC) has been dissolved.

Talking to media person at Lahore airport PM Gilani said that leveling charges against Pakistan without evidences is regrettable, he was of the view that both the countries should fight terrorism together instead of levelling allegations against each other. He said that Pakistan is itself a victim of terrorism and condemns all forms of terrorism.

He also said that India and Pakistan are facing serious problems of poverty, Inflation and other issues so both the countries should focus on resolving these major issues in order to provide their people a better life.

Gilani said that in his meeting with President Zardari they discussed Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's request for sending Inter Services Intelligence chief to India, and overall political and economic situation of the country.

Prime Minister renewed Pakistan’s offer of cooperation to India for Mumbai attacks investigations.
