MQM, ANP Condemn Violence in City

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party (ANP) have condemned in strongest terms the violent incidents in Karachi and termed them part of a conspiracy to trigger ethnic riots in the city.
In a joint communiqué the MQM and ANP leaders said those playing with lives and property of innocent citizens are neither the friends of Pukhtoons nor of Urdu speaking people. Actually they are the common enemies of both.
The MQM and ANP leaders said they are making joint efforts for maintaining peace in the city. They stressed on their respective representatives and workers in their areas to maintain a strict vigil on evil elements and play their effective role for protection of life and property of people.
