Mumbai, : Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan has expressed her disgust on the terror attacks that shook Mumbai. Soha has appealed to the Indian citizens to maintain a strong front in order to convey to the inhuman extremists that their terror tactics won’t work and will bind India more than ever.
Soha, who is associated with an NGO called ‘Avaaz’ has called on the countrymen to sign an appeal to convey the same and show their and support and unity.
The Pataudi scion said that the attacks were barbaric in all ways. “As a Muslim, I am shocked at what has been done in the name of my faith. As an Indian, I am determined to keep these terrorists from tearing our nation apart. As a human being, I join with the entire world in condemning this horrific violence. It's time to speak out, let's do it together."
Khan exclaimed that the only aspect that will see us across this appalling tragedy will be unity. The actress further added “The attacks were aimed at our people, our prosperity and our peace. But their top target was something else: our unity. If these attacks cause us to turn on each other in hatred and conflict, the terrorists will have won. They know that hatred and chaos feed on division. They also know they are radical extremists, and their only hope of reaching society as a whole is by turning the rest of us against each other. Let's deny them that victory. We're launching a message to extremists on all sides and all our political leaders, one that will soon be published in newspapers across India and Pakistan. The message is that these tactics aren't working, that we're more united than ever, united in our love and support to each other, and determined to work together to stop violent extremism. If millions of people sign it, our message will be unmistakable.”
Soha is expecting her fans to forward her appeal religiously, show their solidarity to all the innocent people who lost their lives to make the difference.
