FM Qureshi Arrives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has arrived in the federal capital, ARY OneWorld reported on Saturday.

Following the escalated situation in the backdrop of Mumbai shootings and bombings, the FM Qureshi cancelled all his scheduled meetings in India and left for Pakistan today.

The Foreign Office said the FM arrived back in Pakistan today on board a special plane of the Prime Minister to attend an important meeting of federal cabinet.

All dialogues between India and Pakistan including those on Sir Creek and Indus Water have been cancelled sine die, sources said.

Earlier, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani ordered sending his special plane to bring back Foreign Minister, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi from India to enable him to attend the special cabinet meeting being held today.

The Prime Minister took this decision due to non-availability of a direct flight which could bring him back to Islamabad immediately as his presence in the special cabinet meeting is very important.
