French Ambassador Meets Sindh Home Minister

KARACHI: The Ambassador of France, Daniel Jouanneay and Consul General, Daila Uaino met Sindh Home Minister Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirza here Tuesday.

The Home Minister shared with the visitors the measures adopted by law enforcers including Police for maintenance of law and order in the province.

He rejected reports about Talibanisation in the Province specially Karachi.

"There is no Talibanisation in Karachi as no such sign and symptoms exist and not even a single related incident happened in the province" he maintained.

The Minister observed that crime rate was remarkably controlled through implementation of effective strategy against the criminals.

"Pro-active policing has been introduced by virtue of which the general law and order situation has been improved," he added.

"We have inducted 10,000 policemen to the existing Police force and plan to induct 10,000 cops each year, in next five years time, so as to further strengthen our capacity and overcome manpower shortage" , he disclosed.

The Ambassador of France appreciated the endeavours of the Sindh Home Minister and offered his assistance in all spheres, including implementation of Public-Oriented Policies of the Government.
