Fast Bowler Asif arrested at New Delhi airport

Pakistani fast bowler Muhammad Asif was arrested by the Indian authorities at his arrival on New Delhi airport reportedly because of incomplete travel documents.

Asif had left for India from Karachi’s Quaid-i-Azam International Airport early Saturday to receive his dues from Delhi Daredevils.

Source inform, “Asif was traveling on a visa valid only for the travel aimed to play cricket in India, while he came to the country to settle down his financial disputes with Delhi Daredevils,”.

Asif was not permitted to cross the arrival lounge and was interrogated by the immigration officials of New Delhi airport, he added.

Before his departure, Asif had said his meeting with the officials of Delhi Daredevils is scheduled for today in which issues arising in the last seven months would be discussed and future planning would also be considered.
