We are Ready for Talks With militants: Hoti


PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ameer Hadier Hoti said on Saturday that the government was prepared to hold talks with militants, adding that for the time being security forces cannot be called from Swat.

He stated this, while talking to journalist here when he visited those who were injured in the mardan suicide blast at the Lady Reading Hospital.


He condemned the suicide blast and said the government was open to negotiations with the militants, however, he added that the government would only talk to those who were willing to lay down their arms.

Hoti under line that if such kind of attacks happened like that in Mardan, then the negotiation process could be affected.

He informed that a lot is expected of the Afghan Jirga and terrorism was a joint issue for Afghanistan and Pakistan which could be resolved together by the two countries.
