MQM to Table Anti-Privatization Resolution

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) opposing the government’s decision to denationalize Sindh’s largest natural gas explored reservoir, Qadir Pur Gas Field, announced to table a resolution against its and other organizations’ privatization plan in next session of the provincial assembly.

Talking to ARY OneWorld, Parliamentary Leader of MQM in Sindh Assembly, Syed Sardar Ahmed, said the Qadir Pur Gas Field is in the interests of Sindh and providing great benefits to the province.

He said his party’s chief, Altaf Hussain, has always opposed the privatization of Sindh’s assets, adding that his party has adopted the same stance on QPGF issue.

Sardar said denationalization of national assets would give no positive results.
