Karachi: Unscheduled load-Shedding Continues

KARACHI: Despite drop in electricity demand, people continue to suffer from unannounced power outage here on Friday.

According to Karachi Electric Supply Corporation’s sources, there is a shortage of 500 MW in overall demand and supply in the city. The KESC is resorting to two to three hours of load-shedding at least three times a day in residential and industrial areas, sources confirmed.

Meanwhile, frequent power cuts are being observed in industrial areas after midnight. Affected areas include Korangi, Orangi, New Karachi and Liyari.
