Krejza Spins Magic at Nagpur; Dhoni, Ganguly Walk Back

Nagpur: Jason Krejza made his presence felt yet again at Nagpur as he gave the Australians the much awaited breakthroughs in the form of Sourav Ganguly and MS Dhoni’s wickets. The former was caught by Michael Clarke at a score of 85 runs while the latter was clean bowled at 56. With two new batsmen on the crease, the visitors were all charged up to wrap up the Indian proceedings.

Dhoni had slammed his 12th Test fifty in style before the enthralled Nagpur spectators. The batsman scored all round the park with an array of boundaries and quick singles.

Morning Session

India rounded up a fine display of batting prowess in the morning session of play on second day of the final Test match at Nagpur as the scorecard read 403 runs for the loss of five wickets at lunch. The centurion partnership between Ganguly and Dhoni built yet another big score for the hosts.

The Australian bowlers could not muster a single breakthrough in the session as runs flew freely from the willow of the Indians.

The pair of Ganguly and Dhoni started off the play with a cautious note and ensured that the Australian bowlers didn’t sniff success early on in the morning. The strike was rotated effectively and Ganguly, playing his last Test match, scored a fine fifty.

The previous day’s play was marked with success both for India and Australia as the former notched up a 300+ total while the latter managed to send half of the team back to the pavilion.

The find of the match for the Aussies was spinner Jason Krejza who claimed three crucial scalps to induce some air of caution ion the Indian camp.
