UAE Assures Full Support for Pakistan

DUBAI: President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived here on two days private visit on the conclusion of his tour to Saudi Arabia and held a crucial meeting with UAE president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zaid al Nihan.

Sources told that during their meeting both the leaders exchanged views on ways and means to further bolster bilateral relations between the two countries, regional situation, fight against terrorism and other matters of mutual interest.

President Zardari stressed UAE leadership to provide assistance to Pakistan in the ongoing financial crisis so that the trade volume could swell and UAE investors could take full advantage of immense opportunities of investment. Government of Pakistan would provide full protection to UAE investment, he assured.

Pakistani nationals living in UAE were not only serving as a mean for fetching foreign exchange to Pakistan but were playing the role of a bridge for the development and prosperity of UAE UAE president held out full assurance to president Zardari for providing assistance to Pakistan to deal with financial crisis besides extending full support to Pakistan during Friends of Pakistan meeting. They discussed at length about the Friends of Pakistan meeting taking place in Abu Dhabi .
