Twelve kids Among 16 Abducted in Swat

MINGORA: Unknown armed men on Tuesday kidnapped 12 children among 16 people from various areas of Swat district, reported ARY OneWorld.

Unknown militants kidnapped 12 school-going children from Arkot town of Matta tehsil. The ages of abducted children range from 9 to 11 years.

It was the second incident in the district of its kind, as 35 children had also been abducted some four months back from Chaharbagh tehsil, but were released safely by their kidnappers, later.

Four other people were also abducted in Chaharbagh tehsil by unknown armed men.

Meanwhile, two people were killed in fresh incidents of violence in Swat, reported ARY OneWorld.

Moreover, nine-day long military operation in Sarseni town of the district has come to its end here Tuesday, announced Maj. Gen. Nasir Janjua, in-charge Swat Operation.
