Rs 27 Bln Subsidy on Fertilizer: PM

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Saturday said that the government was providing a subsidy of Rs. 27 billion on fertilizer for the development of agriculture sector in the country. Talking to newsmen here at Jamal Din Wali, he said that dams were being constructed in the country to overcome water and power shortage.

He urged the Overseas Pakistanis to transfer their mony to the country for strengthening the economy and added the government was introducing comprehensive policies to attract foreign investment.

The prime minister said that oil prices would be decreased in Pakistan according to international market.

He said that strict action would be taken against the hoarders of fertilizer.
