Rehman announces release of 101 Indian prisoners

ISLAMABAD: Interior Advisor Rehman Malik Sunday announced the release of 101 Indian prisoners from Pakistan's jails including 99 fishermen and two common citizens.
All these prisoners have completed their jail terms under the courts' decisions, said a report telecast by a private television channel.
The fishermen were arrested in a period ranging between two to six years while the two other Indian citizens were in prison for longer time.
The prisoners were released in line with Confidence Building Measures (CBMS) between India and Pakistan.
Earlier Indians have released 29 Pakistani citizens from their jail.
