PTCL invested Rs14 bn this year

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has invested around Rs 14 billion in current year.

The same amount will also be invested in various other projects during 2008-09, says a company’s statement.

PTCL officials told reporters that landline system was being upgraded in Pakistan.

A new Network Operation Center has been launched in Islamabad to redress the complaints of landline consumers. They said that telecom network would soon be linked to fiber optic link across the country.
