President Zardari heads to UAE for two-day visit

RAWALPINDI: President Asif Ali Zardari left for United Arab Emirates on Monday for a two-day official visit.

During his visit, President Zardari is scheduled to meet UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahayan, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed and Prince Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahayan.

The President will be given a warm welcome on his arrival to UAE.

Besides holding talks with the UAE leadership, the President will hold meetings with the heads and chief executives of UAE-based major companies and entrepreneurs to seek investment in various sectors particularly in energy, agriculture and infrastructure in Pakistan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance Adviser Shaukat Tarin and Interior Adviser Rehman Malik area accompanying the President in the visit.

Talking to media, Pakistan’s Ambassador to UAE, Khurshed Ahmed Junejo said the visit was aimed at a comprehensive upgradation of Pakistan’s relations with the UAE with a focus on establishing a strategic and economic partnership between the two countries.
