Power Crisis Continues in Karachi

KARACHI: Power outage continued in cosmopolitan, adding miseries to the masses and negatively affecting industrial and commercial activities.

According to Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation (KESC) sources, the current energy demand of the city is 2100 MW whereas KESC is facing shortage of 500 MW. Therefore, load-shedding is carried out in different residential and commercial areas.

KESC spokesman said that KESC is trying to increase the power generation in Bin Qasim power plant.
