Eleven killed in Bajaur Suicide attack

KHAR: Eleven people were killed and near 40 injured Thursday when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a gathering of tribal elders in Bajaur agency.
According to geo.tv a jirga of a local tribe, Salar Zai, was underway at Bat Malay to drive militants out of their area when suspected suicide bomber blew himself up, killing at least eleven attendees.
A tribal elder, Fazal Karim, who was chairing the jirga was also among deceased, says ARY OneWorld.
Some 20 seriously wounded people were brought to District Hospital Khar. Casualties were feared to be increased further.
The head of the suspected suicide bomber has been recovered from the site, while an unknown local militant group, Naimatullah, accepted the responsibility of the attack.
Meanwhile, 15 militants were killed in recent air strikes by security forces in Mamoond area of Bajaur agency.
