Nagpur:
Just after Ishant Sharma got the prized wicket of Michael Clarke, it was Hussey’s turn to go, thanks to a fantastic effort by debutant Vijay and wicketkeeper Dhoni in the field. Vijay collected a shot by Huss at silly point and returned it to Dhoni who removed the bails in a flash. The dangerous looking Hussey was out for 90.

Then it was Harbhajan Singh’s turn. The ‘Turbanator’ bowled Shane Watson who scored 2 runs off 22 balls. Watson defended the delivery which rolled on to kiss the stumps and take the bail off. Watson loss meant Australia were six down, trailing by 175 runs.

Prior to that, Zaheer Khan paved a major breakthrough for India after he dismissed Simon Katich for 102 runs. Zaheer caught Katich plumb in front of the wickets to provide a major jolt to the Aussies. Katich’s dismissal brought Michael Clarke to the crease.

Earlier, Simon Katich and Mike Hussey resumed from where they had left at stumps on Day 2 to notch up their century and fifty respectively. They continued to build upon the hundred run partnership which they had put up by the end of the second day of the fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy here at the VCA Stadium, Nagpur.

Katich was dropped by the ‘usually safe’ Rahul Dravid when he was on 95. Even though the Nagpur pitch seems like a bane for pace bowlers, Ishant Sharma sketched an opportunity and forced Katich to play away from the body only to manage a thick edge.

Meanwhile, the dependable Mike Hussey looked as solid as ever and brought up his 12th fifty in style when he cut one to the third man.
